This Week's Watch Focus: Pray for Our Armed Forces in Iraq and Afghanistan

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 4, 2009. May we hold our armed forces in prayer and honor as they serve the course of freedom far from their families and friends. Pray that our government authorities will support them with a whole heart and all the reinforcements and supplies needed until their mission is accomplished. Pray for President Karzai and those in Afghanistan truly allied with us. May angels protect each of our soldiers from violence.

Psalms 91:4, 11, “He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways.”

Psalms 27:2-5, “When the wicked came against me to eat up my flesh, my enemies and foes, they stumbled and fell. Though an army may encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war may rise against me, in this I will be confident. One thing I have desired of the Lord, that will I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord All the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in His temple. For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; in the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock.”
