This Week's Watch Focus: Honduras

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 11, 2009. Let’s continue to pray for Honduras. This small Latin American nation is in a brave battle to preserve its freedom from the pressure of neighboring Marxist governments. It has held a successful election and now needs to be able to go forward without pressures from socialist sympathizers. Pray that our state department will act wisely where this freedom-loving country is concerned.

Eph. 6:12 (Amp), “For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the despotisms, against the powers, against [the master spirits who are] the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere.”

Is. 61:1,3, “The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me, because the LORD has anointed Me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; To console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.”

2 Cor. 3:17, “Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.”
