This Week's Watch Focus: Persecuted Christians

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 18, 2009. Pray for the persecuted Christians across the world, especially in Communist China and the Islamic nations, where they are going through great pressures and much opposition. As we celebrate Christmas with our family and friends, it is good to remember our spiritual families who are suffering persecution in these nations. Pray for God’s mercy and protection for them.

Matt. 5:10-12, “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake.”

Ps. 12:5, “‘For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now I will arise,’ says the Lord; ‘I will set him in the safety for which he yearns.’”
