Always Glory, Always Praise — Setting our Hearts for 2010

 Everything that goes into a life of pleasing God has been miraculously given to us by getting to know, personally and intimately, the One who invited us to God. The best invitation we ever received! We were also given absolutely terrific promises to pass on to you—your tickets to participation in the life of God after you turned your back on a world corrupted by lust.

 
So don't lose a minute in building on what you've been given, complementing your basic faith with good character, spiritual understanding, alert discipline, passionate patience, reverent wonder, warm friendliness, and generous love, each dimension fitting into and developing the others. With these qualities active and growing in your lives, no grass will grow under your feet; no day will pass without its reward as you mature in your experience of our Master Jesus. Without these qualities you can't see what's right before you, oblivious that your old sinful life has been wiped off the books.

 
So, friends, confirm God's invitation to you, his choice of you. Don't put it off; do it now. Do this, and you'll have your life on a firm footing, the streets paved and the way wide open into the eternal kingdom of our Master and Savior, Jesus Christ. [1]

 
The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom! (Prov 4:7a)

 
One of the words we feel the Lord is giving us for 2010 is this – Get Wisdom! The Bible tells us that knowledge will increase in the last days, but it is useless without wisdom to direct it in the proper way. God’s word exhorts us to live wisely (see Eph 5:15). God’s wisdom protects and guards those who seek it. When we seek wisdom as silver and gold we prosper as a result. Wisdom is more than a particular concept or knowledge. Wisdom is a Person. Getting acquainted with and sensitive to the living presence of the Lord Jesus Christ through your relationship with the Holy Spirit is the gateway to finding God’s Wisdom!

 
The Watch Word for the year is to Be Ready for Everything – Prepared for Anything. Let us set our hearts to receive all the glory God has stored up for us in 2010! As the Watch of the Lord we will be entering a corporate fast from Jan 11 – 31, 2010. As we begin this year, we are asking watchmen across the world to fast and pray with us for a great turning in every nation. Let us cry out for the Lord’s presence as never before – a manifestation of His glory that will break yokes over our lives, families, and in our churches, resulting in the next Great Awakening!
