Setting Our Hearts for 2010 —

Week Two:

God has given us a certain promise for victory in 2 Chronicles 7:14:

“If My people who are called by My name humble themselves, and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

If we will do this, He will hear, forgive and heal our land! The biblical way to humble oneself is to fast (see Ps. 35:13). We pray individually and corporately for the promises God has given us. We seek His face, communing with Him, beholding Him as in a mirror, becoming congruent with Him as we study His word and pray in the Spirit. And we turn from our wicked ways – repentance. You will find that as you apply yourself to fasting, prayer and seeking His face, repentance will follow and becomes a place of freedom, joy and deliverance. We behold Him, and His light shines on our hearts, revealing areas that He wants to transform. Repentance then becomes as easy as a decision to embrace His light and turn from the shadows of our past, whether they be unforgiveness, bitterness or patterns of sin. We like to say that fasting is like adding soap to water. If you wash with just water, you will get some of the dirt off, but much of the unseen germs and particles will remain. Soap will clean it all. You may find that as you fast, different things will start to come to the surface. Don’t condemn yourself and get discouraged. Thank the Lord for revealing the dirt, repent and let it go. He is cleansing you!

Let us join together in prayer and fasting for victory. If we, His people do, He promises He will hear, He will forgive and He will heal our land!

2010 Corporate Agenda:

    1. 2010 Congressional Elections: Elections in the U.S. House and Senate are key this year:
As we were praying about these elections, I (Mahesh) had a vision of Jesus coming and cleansing the temple. Let us pray for the Lord to cleanse those from congress who are driving our children into economic slavery for generations to come. Let us pray for God to raise up righteous men and women who will honor our Judeo-Christian principles and defend our nation’s liberty.
    2. Jobs and Economic Recovery: Historically America has been a leader among nations in giving to the poor, caring for the hungry, offering humanitarian aid to those devastated by natural disasters. This has been true of us as individuals and as a national government. Let us pray for America’s economic recovery so that we can continue to be a blessing to the nations, and so that we can continue to be a strong base for the gospel to go forth to the nations.
    3. Protection from Terrorism: In just the past few weeks we have been reminded that we are at war with violent jihadism as our nation has been attacked at home and abroad. Let us pray for protection for our nation and our cities against terrorism.
    4. Armed forces: We continue to pray for protection and mission complete for our soldiers fighting in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
    5. Families and Churches: We pray for the strength, prosperity, favor, blessing, and increase in our church family. Lift up your pastors, pray for their health, strength, vision, and direction to complete God’s agenda for this year.
    6. Come Holy Spirit!: We are seeing signs of the Next Great Awakening in our midst. In just the last year we saw over fifteen people awaken from comas as we prayed. We believe that these awakenings are a sign and a token of the resurrection glory that God is about to pour out in America and the nations. May we prepare the way of the Lord as we set our hearts and pray for visitation in the coming year.
    7. Harvest of Souls – The fields are white with harvest! Pray for the laborers to bring in the harvest with signs, wonders and miracles. Pray for an increased level of anointing that will break yokes of oppression and loose families and nations from curses. May we see a great increase in the Kingdom this year.
    8. The Peace of Jerusalem: The Lord instructs us to “give Him no rest till He establishes Jerusalem as a praise in the earth” (Isaiah 66:7). Our spiritual heritage and prophetic destiny are joined to Jerusalem. The happenings in Jerusalem give us a prophetic pulse of God’s heart. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Bless Israel and pray for God’s protection from her enemies that threaten both within her borders and abroad.
    9. Widows and Orphans: We pray for Canon Andrew White and St. Georges’ Church in Baghdad, for their protection, for the release of hostages and for the growth and provision for the church, the widows and orphans he cares for. We lift up the victims of the Haitian earthquake. Pray for the families that have lost loved ones and homes, the rescue and aid workers and for the missionaries that are on the ground serving in the midst of the devastation. Bind back violence, and pray for this valley of trouble to become a doorway of hope for the Haitian people.

We pray for every one of you to seek the Lord and ask how you can be involved in this season of prayer and fasting to release His glory upon this nation and upon the earth. We will be posting further prayer directives, Scriptures and updates on our website throughout the course of this fast. Please check back frequently to find our more information on this prayer and fasting initiative:
