Friday July 27, 2012 — RINGING IN REVIVAL

Ringing the Bells of Liberty and Revival on Patrick Henry’s original stumping grounds here in Ashland, VA.

A couple of years ago I was ministering at Calvary Campground when I sensed the great cloud of witnesses was with us. As we watched, prayed, and made decrees over America the atmosphere was charged with holy electricity and the presence of angelic forces mustering for battle. I realized we were literally just around the corner from the oldest church in Virginia where Patrick Henry’s uncle had served as Rector. And, a few more miles down the road is St. John’s Church where Patrick Henry made his famous speech, “Give me liberty, or give me death!”

The next day my assistant and I decided to go visit St. John’s church where Henry made his speech and make a prophetic declaration and agree with heaven for our nation. The living word in that season was Wakey Wakey! We had just experienced a series of dramatic miracles where people were coming out of comas. It was a type of God’s decree for our nation, “Wake up, Sleeping Beauty!” A week before, Beni Johnson had shared with us the testimony of an encounter at Moriah Chapel and the angel of the Welsh revival awakening from slumber there.

We stood before it’s great doors and declared Wakey Wakey! We prayed for America and the restorationAs we were leaving, a wedding party arrived. For us, it was a sign of the Covenant God has made with America. God looks upon a nation as a woman. America is still young. She is still tender. She has been greatly abused by some of the false husbands who do not see her as God does. But He is faithful and true. And He keeps His Word.

So on this day that thousands around the world are ringing bells to awaken revival. We rang our bell at Ashland for a Great Awakening to sweep our land once again. And Calvary Campground sounded the bell that for 58 years has called the nations to worship in the tabernacle that is filled with God’s thick presence of glory. We declare with that sound: May the Watchers awaken, and our generation rise up to lay hold of the great inheritance sown and by God that a future generation may tell of His great works in America.

When our former President proclaimed, “The Church Bells are going to ring again all across America.” I knew it was a prophetic declaration of a time of revival for this nation. I immediately got a bell. And every Friday night since, I started agreeing with that declaration by ringing my bell at the Watch that visitation would come to our generation.

From the legacy of Patrick Henry in Virginia, and the rich deposit of Azusa that the Heflin’s and Sister Jane Louder have stewarded so faithfully here in Ashland, to the Watch of the Lord, and all the chapels and churches of the UK, let’s ring in revival and cry out for Awakening in our lands! Whatever you have on hand, whether a bell, a doorbell, a tambourine, a cell phone, a shofar – Make a Sound! WAKEY WAKEY!
