Weekly Watch Focus: Prayer Dome Over Israel

FRIDAY, July 25, The extremist, Islamic terrorist organization, Hamas, has continued its war against Israel, raining down thousands of rockets over the civilian population of Israel from the Gaza strip. Nearly 6 million Israeli civilians have had to run daily to bomb shelters. Israeli anti-missile system, the Iron Dome, has thus far prevented major Israeli casualties. Israel has had to send in its soldiers into Gaza as an act of self-defense, resulting in the death of 18 soldiers and many casualties in Gaza among the Arab population. Rockets have rained down on Beer Sheva, Dimona, Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, and Haifa. The terrorists have activated attacks through a large system of tunnels dug under the borders of Israel from Gaza. It is important in this hour for the Watchmen to arise and raise a dome of intercession and prayer over Israel. Pray for the Israeli Defense Forces to have divine protection as they set out to destroy Hamas terrorists and get rid of the rockets and tunnel systems. Pray for angelic help so Israel can be protected and the terrorists defeated. Continue to life up in prayer the innocent, Israeli and Arab civilians. This war pits Israel, a country that only wants to live in peace and freedom, against Hamas, a virulent, hate-filled organization that glorifies war, death, and aims for the destruction of Israeli. Pray that God’s wisdom guides Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and pray for protection and victory for the Israeli soldiers. The Lord who keeps watch over Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps. Pray peace returns to Israel and Gaza, and pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

Exod. 15:16-18, “Fear and dread will fall on them; by the greatness of Your arm they will be as still as a stone, till Your people pass over, O Lord, till the people pass over whom You have purchased. You will bring them in and plant them in the mountain of Your inheritance, in the place, O Lord, which You have made for Your own dwelling, the sanctuary, O Lord, which Your hands have established. ‘The Lord shall reign forever and ever.’”

Gen. 12:3, “I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”

Psalm 122:6, "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: 'May they proper who love you. Peace be within your walls, prosperity within your palaces.'”

Is. 62:6-7, “I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they shall never hold their peace day or night. You who make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent, and give Him no rest till He establishes and till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.”

Zech. 14:8-16, Ps. 91
