Weekly Watch Focus: We Give Thanks!

FRIDAY, Nov. 21, 2014,As American families and friends get together for Thanksgiving Day, we want to raise our voices in unison to give praise and thanks to the Lord, for He is the Source and Provider who has so blessed our nation. This Thanksgiving, give thanks for our Savior, for the Bible, for our nation, for our parents and grandparents, for our armed forces and their families, for our church leaders, and for our basic provisions of food and shelter. May the God of Israel, whom the Pilgrims blessed continue to watch over us and Bless America. 

Col. 3:15, “And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.”  

Ps. 106:1, “O give thanks to the LORD; for He is good; for His mercy endures forever.”  

Luke 9:16, “Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke them. Then he gave them to the disciples to distribute to the people.”

Ps 103: 1-5, “Bless the Lord, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from destruction, who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies, who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.”
