WATCH FOCUS - The Whole Earth Will Be Filled

Our watch focus this week begins with God’s promises from scripture that His will shall be done on earth. So we enter Friday Shabbat with worship declaring the whole earth will be filled:
  • with AWE: Psalm 65:8  The whole earth is filled with awe at your wonders; where morning dawns, where evening fades, you call forth songs of joy.
  • with His GLORY: Psalm 72:18-19  Praise be to the Lord God, the God of Israel, who alone does marvelous deeds. Praise be to his glorious name forever; may the whole earth be filled with his glory.
  • with Your LOVE: Psalm 119:63-64   I am a friend to all who fear you, to all who follow your precepts. The earth is filled with your love, Lord; teach me your decrees.
  • with the KNOWLEDGE OF THE LORD: Isaiah 11:9-10 They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain, for the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea. In that day the Root of Jesse will stand as a banner for the peoples; the nations will rally to him, and his resting place will be glorious.
  • with the KNOWLEDGE OF THE GLORY OF THE LORD: Habakkuk 2:2-3  I will stand at my watch and station myself on the ramparts; For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.
  • with the MOUNTAIN OF THE LORD: Daniel 2:34-35;44-45  While you were watching, a rock was cut out, but not by human hands. It struck the statue on its feet of iron and clay and smashed them. Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver and the gold were all broken to pieces and became like chaff on a threshing floor in the summer. The wind swept them away without leaving a trace. But the rock that struck the statue became a huge mountain and filled the whole earth…the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people. It will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it will itself endure forever. This is the meaning of the vision of the rock cut out of a mountain, but not by human hands—a rock that broke the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver and the gold to pieces.
Several critical issues on the domestic and global fronts call for watchmen prayers binding back the powers of destruction. When Jehoash was king of Israel, he went to see Elisha as the prophet’s word would give Israel victory over the Syrian army. “My father! My father!” Jehoash cries. “The chariots and horsemen of Israel!” Elisha tells the king, “Open the east window and shoot! The Lord’s arrow of victory! You will completely destroy the Arameans at Aphek. Take the arrows and strike the ground.” The king strikes three times and stops. Elisha is angry. “You should have struck the ground five or six times. Then you would have defeated Aram and completely destroyed it.” The bible reports Israel had three victories under that king before being overcome by their enemies again. 2 Kings 13:17-19. Let this principle encourage you in the situations you and your family members may be facing. Stir up your faith and strike the arrow of the Lord’s victory in prayer until the breakthrough comes.

Pray Until:
  • Israeli hostages are rescued from terrorist captors.
  • Israel gains complete victory over Hamas.
  • Truth triumphs over lies in the media and institutionally as “lawfare” is waged against Presidential candidate Donald Trump in the U.S. and against the State of Israel in the U.N.
  • Elevated tensions and terror is bound as Muslim observance of Ramadan around the world begins Sunday and leading clerics and political spokespersons call for uprising.
  • Hezbollah in Lebanon and the Houthis in Yemen back off their offensive against Israel and the West.
